Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with hardware and operating systems (e.g., Linux), and networking protocols.
Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting or with computer and server hardware.
Nice to haves:
Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
Ability to collaborate and partner with teams to resolve issues.
What you'll be doing:
Monitor, maintain, and deploy the physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology, advanced data center servers, and network infrastructure.
Support conditions for the servers to ensure optimal functionality and connectivity, and oversee maintenance of critical systems.
Contribute to efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance and support of current and new data center servers and network infrastructure.
Install and maintain switches, routers, and other large-scale networking gear. Diagnose and repair broken equipment, including servers, networking and storage devices.
Be available and capable of participating in primary/secondary on-call for the sites and to work on 24/7 shifts if needed.
