Data Center Technician, Third Party Data Centers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems and computer/server hardware or networking protocols.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work non-standard hours.

Nice to haves

• Experience with server hardware maintenance/repair and troubleshooting/diagnosing.
• Knowledge of networking, including basic topology and protocol understanding.
• Excellent Linux skills, including installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently.

What you'll be doing

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report and troubleshoot straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain the security and integrity of data.
• Disassemble end-of-life equipment for repairs or maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment based on identified issues.
