Software Engineer II, YouTube Safety

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 1 year of experience implementing core ML concepts

Nice to haves:

• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision and data analysis (head room analysis/opportunity sizing)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Analyze and understand gaps in our content understanding
• Build classifiers for YouTube videos, live streams, and images using various modalities (e.g., video, image, audio, audio transcripts, metadata)
• Apply novel machine learning methods to manage a variety of Trust and Safety challenges
• Collaborate with Research, Operations, and Product teams
