Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Learns to create and implement code for our service in collaboration with others within the team.
• Works with multiple stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
• Supports identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
• Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimations.
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring services, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore it by following the playbook.
• Proposes ways to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of services while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• OR equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English and good communication skills.
• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
• Specialized security screenings including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in using data analytics services and interpreting data in a methodical way.
• Working experience of build, test, and software release systems, as well as agile software development technologies.
