Extensive years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND Extensive years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in networking, scripting, and software development
Familiarity/hands on experience with any network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
Experience with writing automation in languages such as Python, Powershell or C#
Experience with writing scripts that use REST APIs, Syslog, xml, SNMP, and other Network Management Systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals along with a basic understanding of IP networking MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and Anycast routing
Experience managing and troubleshooting network issues
Experience working on large scale networks
Leadership, coordination and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently on complex tasks
Motivated to drive leading edge technologies
Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP and AnyCast
What You'll Be Doing:
Harnessing Physical network data for precise failure analysis and proactive monitoring enhancements to improve network availability.
Diagnosing and resolving network issues with minimal customer impact, backed by meticulous post-incident analysis as part of on-call responsibilities.
Pioneering automated solutions to optimize network operations and incident management workflows.
Work across SDN teams to identify tooling gaps, document failures, propose solutions and work across multiple engineering teams to get both short-term fixes and architectural improvements rolled out.
Working with internal and external vendor engineers to troubleshoot issues found during Network health validation and field operations and drive for resolution.
