Senior Service Engineer

Requirements

• You’ll be a critical member of a geo-distributed team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting operations capabilities within high-assurance, secure, and highly-available environments. Your role as a senior engineer will involve being responsible for team outcomes and fostering the growth of other team members.
• You’ll be responsible for championing, implementing, and refining DevOps practices to improve operational efficiency while ensuring security requirements are met.
• You’ll lead design, code, and security reviews to identify risks and prevent bugs before release, applying expertise in application design, security, and other relevant technologies.
• You’ll understand existing tools and resources, drive team decision-making, actively participate in 24/7/365 support with rotating on-call duties, and facilitate collaboration across the global organization.
• Working closely with security teams to ensure adherence to security standards and integrating security practices into all work aspects.
• Regular travel to the in-country Sovereign Operations Centres, with up to 25% onsite travel.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and multiple years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and operating complex IT environments.
• Deep knowledge and experience in deploying/configuring and maintaining various IT tools and technologies.
• Experience with system and service management in high-security domains.
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent Cloud Certification.
• Fluency in German and English with good communication skills in German.

• Extensive experience in service support with on-call responsibilities.
• Expertise in problem-solving and analyzing distributed systems and critical production service environments.

Security Clearance Requirements

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other customer or government screening requirements as needed.

• Access to information under export control regulations.
• Citizenship verification due to German government agency customer support.
