Senior Software Engineer

Requirements

• Build core infrastructure and backend services for the product.
• Drive key architecture decisions and overall direction of the product.
• Design, develop and maintain product features using proven engineering practices.
• Coach, mentor and provide technical guidance to more junior engineers to boost their growth.
• Find bottlenecks in DevOps process and improve them through smart automation.
• Adjust services and processes to adhere to the latest security and privacy standards.
• Collaborate with other engineers within the product (Warsaw, London, Redmond) and across Microsoft.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Demonstrated technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in creating high-quality design, code, and tests
• Some experience with large-scale software engineering
• Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality production systems/services
• Some professional backend development experience

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrated technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Application development and deployment experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in working in a DevOps model
• Committed interest in staying current with industry trends and techniques
