Requirements:

You will research, engineer and experiment with new ways to either improve developer velocity, observability, or CICD infrastructure
Your scope will depend on the tooling team but can range from
You will foster relationships and partner with both DX and product teams to identify pain points and provide solutions
You will act as a technical leader to your teammates and help improve the team’s engineering culture
You will mentor and coach other engineers to grow into the next generation of technical leaders
You will use your experience to drive the platform forward with new ideas and strategies
You will partner with your engineering manager to ensure the team is delivering results iteratively

Nice to Haves:

Over 3 years of software engineering experience building and designing scalable applications, tools, or distributed systems
Leadership experience as a mentor or role model to other engineers
Strategic and tactical mindset with the ability to translate strategic vision into achievable objectives
Strong platform engineering/DevOps expertise with knowledge of Kotlin, TypeScript, Gitlab, BackStage, DataDog, AWS, CDK, Projen
Experience in designing and building robust solutions for developers
Opinionated on development processes and eager to optimize and automate them
Passionate about writing technical documentation and useful tutorials
Data-driven and passionate about using metrics for engineering decisions
Excellent written and spoken English (level C1/C2 on the CEFR scale)
