Senior Platform Engineer - Developer Tooling

Requirements:

• You will research, engineer and experiment with new ways to either improve developer velocity, observability, or CICD infrastructure
• Your scope will depend on the tooling team but can range from
• You will foster relationships and partner with both DX and product teams to identify pain points and provide solutions
• You will act as a technical leader to your teammates and help improve the team’s engineering culture
• You will mentor and coach other engineers to grow into the next generation of technical leaders
• You will use your experience to drive the platform forward with new ideas and strategies
• You will partner with your engineering manager to ensure the team is delivering results iteratively

Nice to Haves:

• Over 3 years of software engineering experience building and designing scalable applications, tools, or distributed systems
• Leadership experience as a mentor or role model to other engineers
• Strategic and tactical mindset with the ability to translate strategic vision into achievable objectives
• Strong platform engineering/DevOps expertise with knowledge of Kotlin, TypeScript, Gitlab, BackStage, DataDog, AWS, CDK, Projen
• Experience in designing and building robust solutions for developers
• Opinionated on development processes and eager to optimize and automate them
• Passionate about writing technical documentation and useful tutorials
• Data-driven and passionate about using metrics for engineering decisions
• Excellent written and spoken English (level C1/C2 on the CEFR scale)
• Agile mindset
• Embracing feedback and having a good sense of humor

What You'll Be Doing:

• Acting as a technical leader to teammates and improving the team’s engineering culture
• Mentoring and coaching other engineers to grow into technical leaders
• Driving the platform forward with new ideas and strategies
• Partnering with the engineering manager to ensure iterative delivery of results
