Design, build, and maintain systems that directly support how people and things move in the real world — where performance, safety, and scale can’t be separated.
Solve messy, high-impact problems in fast-changing environments — often without a clear starting point or obvious solution.
Work with internal stakeholders to deeply understand their services and architect solutions to their reliability issues, building tooling and services to aid reliability Uber-wide.
Debug Uber-scale reliability issues, working across multiple services and domains to improve availability for our customers.
Own your work end-to-end: from the first design doc and collaborative planning to debugging production issues when stakes are high.
Champion engineering best practices like code health, testing, and design clarity — even when time is tight and pressure is high.
Collaborate across disciplines to ship thoughtful, practical solutions at speed and advocate for Production Engineering and reliability across the company.
