Production Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience in UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals
• Extensive coding experience
• Experience learning development languages (Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, Java)
• Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs
• Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and/or handling needs for urgent capacity augmentation

What You'll Be Doing

• Support new platforms with end-to-end ownership of Core System scope
• Support back-end services and frontend services like WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook/Meta Ads
• Write code, develop documentation, and debug complex systems
• Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents
• Collaborate with engineering team on production systems used by billions globally

Nice to Haves

• BS or MS in Computer Science
• Experience in developing and launching hardware platforms into production
