Senior Backend Engineer II

Requirements

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product
• Product mindset: caring about customer outcomes and making data-informed decisions
• Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala etc.)

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborating across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers
• Working in a squad alongside various team members to build and support a particular part of Monzo
• Being part of self-governing business units known as collectives
