Senior Software Engineer I - Europe Risk and Controls

Requirements

• 3/5+ years of experience in Java or other JVM based language, experience with Spring framework, and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, making data-driven decisions
• Ability to work independently on customer problems and take end-to-end ownership of projects
• Close collaboration with various product teams
• Great communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and designing schemas
• Experience with Test Driven Development and best coding practices
• Efficient use of AI tools

• Building controls and automations to expand Wise offerings in Europe
• Understanding team and tribe vision to contribute effectively
• Gaining insight into customer needs and solving problems
• Raising automation levels to enable product scaling
• Contributing to scaling up and enhancing money transfer product
