Infrastructure Engineer (RDS)

Requirements:

• A Systems Thinker: Deep understanding of Linux and distributed systems principles
• A Software Engineer: Proficient in Go or Python
• A Database Enthusiast: Understanding of running databases at scale
• Problem Solver: Proactive and focused on permanent fixes
• Collaborative: Ability to communicate complex concepts and work with different teams

What you'll be doing:

• Build the Platform: Design and develop the internal DBaaS offering
• Architect for Reliability: Ensure high availability and disaster recovery
• Deep Dive & Debug: Investigate performance bottlenecks
• Developer Experience: Build tooling for product teams
• Operational Excellence: Participate in the on-call rotation

Nice to haves:

• Experience building Operators or custom controllers for Kubernetes
• Interest in PostgreSQL internals
• Experience with OpenStack or managing server fleets
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and Secret Management tools
• Experience with observability at scale (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
