Software Engineer - PostgresSQL

Requirements:

• A Systems Thinker: Deep understanding of Linux and distributed systems principles
• A Software Engineer: Proficient in Python, Java, or Go
• A Database Enthusiast: Understanding of operational challenges of running databases at scale
• Problem Solver: Proactive and adept at root-cause analysis

What you'll be doing:

• Build the Platform: Design and develop tooling and services in various languages
• Automate: Identify opportunities for automation
• Deep Dive & Debug: Investigate complex performance issues
• Developer Experience: Build tools to simplify large-scale systems for product engineers
• Operational Excellence: Participate in the on-call rotation and learn from incidents

Nice to haves:

• Internal knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Experience with OpenStack or Bare Metal fleet management
