Software Development Engineer (Java/Kotlin), FireTV

Requirements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development, or experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, implement, test, and document distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services
• Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions
• Evaluate and make strategic decisions around adopting new or existing software products and tools
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of excellence within the team
• Collaborate with various team members to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications and systems
