Robotics Software Engineer, Thunder

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• 2+ years of experience with C++ or Rust programming languages
• Experience in software solutions involving data processing and analysis
• Ability to understand and navigate complex systems and code bases
• Desire to work on impactful software projects
• Eligible for and maintain an active UKSV Security Clearance

Nice to Haves

• Background in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning
• Experience with multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments
• Knowledge of behavior trees for feature and algorithm development
• Experience with flight systems and safety critical functionality
• Knowledge of distributed communication networks and message standards
• Understanding of military systems and operational tactics

What You'll Be Doing

• Own feature development and software solutions deployed to customers
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities
• Collaborate across teams for planning, building, and testing functionality
• Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring
• Work closely with hardware teams and operational experts
• Travel up to 20% to build, test, and deploy capabilities
