Senior ML Research Engineer

Requirements

• PhD degree in CS/Mathematics, ideally with a focus on imaging, computer vision or machine learning
• Extensive research and practical experience in developing algorithms for image processing
• Possess an understanding and have experience in productizing or publishing research results in image processing fields
• Excellent programming skills

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Swift or Objective-C
• Practical experience with Core Image, Metal or other GPU image processing technologies
• An understanding of colour science
• A deep understanding of and experience with photography or videography
• Relevant industry experience
• Fundamental understanding of camera systems and sensors
• Experience with developing for Apple platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to devise and understand mathematical solutions to image processing problems

What You'll Be Doing

• Part of a team creating novel user experiences on iOS, iPadOS & macOS using image algorithms and machine learning models
• Developing ideas and concepts into commercially viable algorithms
• Working closely with cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and global development teams
• Driving projects independently in a fast-paced environment
