Senior Software Development Engineer, CloudFront Control Plane, CloudFront

Requirements

• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience in debugging, profiling, and implementing software engineering best practices in large-scale systems

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market
• Provide technical guidance to your team, design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment
• Mentor and guide team members to solve complex problems with simple solutions
• Drive big ideas to improve the availability and performance of the CloudFront Control Plane team
• Develop high quality, testable, and maintainable software
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software
