Optical Planning Network Development Engineer, Capacity Engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business or equivalent
• Experience working in large-scale networking environments
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting
• Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP)
• Experience in Ubuntu/Solaris
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

What You'll Be Doing

• Design network designs, services, and deployment procedures to meet various requirements
• Collaborate with team leadership to select projects aligned with team goals
• Design ahead of customer or technology needs, creating and defending High and Low Level Design documents
• Automate deployment processes to enhance quality and speed
• Work closely with internal customers from concept to production
