Software Development Engineer II, CloudWatch Collectors

Requirements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Strong programming skills in at least two of the following: Rust, Go, Java, C++, Python

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Open-source enthusiasm and contributions (e.g. a GitHub portfolio, or contributions to projects such as OpenTelemetry)

What You'll Be Doing

• Work in an agile team to design, build and maintain highly available, massively scaled systems
• Design and implement complex software for telemetry collection agents in Rust and Go
• Expand services across all AWS Regions and troubleshoot issues when they arise
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity
• Mentor junior engineers to grow the technical capability of the team
