Senior Software Engineer, Distributed Databases

Requirements

• Source-code level experience contributing to a distributed database or distributed storage system
• Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, C++, or another systems language
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Experience reading, debugging, and modifying complex codebases

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with LSM-tree storage engines or comparable storage internals
• Experience building and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Experience with monitoring tools and analytics tools for operating production database systems

What You'll Be Doing

• Add new features and extensions to the database
• Hold the bar on correctness through code review, testing, and rollout
• Tune performance and resource utilization
• Optimize data placement and replication
• Build observability and tooling for the database
