Software Engineer

Requirements

• Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software
• Experience writing web-based applications in any language, and an interest in learning (Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, Scala, or Rust)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with web architecture at scale (20krpm and above)
• Experience with "NoSQL" data backends and other (Redis, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Memcache)
• Experience solving logistical problems with software

What you'll be doing

• Improving code structure, impacting architecture, and reviewing code produced by your team
• Simplifying maintenance and operation of production systems, visibility, and operational readiness
• Collaborating with other engineering teams and identifying opportunities for collaboration
• Owning larger pieces of work, assisting with design and technical choices, and influencing the roadmap
• Playing an active role in the hiring process, conducting engineering interviews, and supporting the growth of colleagues
