Elasticsearch - Principal Software Engineer II - Storage Engine

Requirements

• Implemented novel techniques to efficiently index, store, and query Timeseries data
• Strong technical leadership skills with a high level of autonomy
• Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with data structures and concurrency constructs
• Desire to optimize and utilize efficient data structures and algorithms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with various data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Collaborative development experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading cross-organizational initiatives for a Timeseries solution offering
• Contributing to Elasticsearch by building data-intensive features and fixing bugs
• Working with a globally distributed team focused on Elasticsearch's logs and metrics capabilities
• Becoming an expert in multiple areas of Elasticsearch and improving them
• Engaging with the global community on Elasticsearch issues and pull requests
• Writing idiomatic modern Java for Elasticsearch development
