Software Engineer II (Networking) - Platform Infra

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing software in Golang with a focus on scalable networking components
• Experience with Kubernetes (Cilium, external-dns, Envoy Gateway & Crossplane)
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their networking ecosystem
• Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance code functionality and maintainability
• Facilitated knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote best practices in application networking
• Concern for the quality of work shipped — testing, observability, and operability
• Curiosity about distributed systems and services communication at scale
• Collaborative approach: openness to feedback, sharing context, and learning from teammates

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and implement scalable and robust application networking features
• Analyze performance metrics and conduct load testing to optimize code
• Identify and address application networking issues
• Collaborate with Engineering teams across Elastic to fulfill their Application Networking requirements
