Senior Software Engineer, CodeQL

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with proven experience in coding
• 3+ years experience in software security, developer tools, or machine learning applied to code understanding

What You'll Be Doing

• Code analysis:
  • Maintaining detection support for multiple programming languages
  • Building and maintaining queries in CodeQL query language
  • Experimenting with and evaluating LLM-powered detection engines
• Foundations:
  • Developing QL and the underlying query compiler of CodeQL
  • Empowering other teams to write high-quality code analysis
• Working closely with engineering teams to influence product direction
• Engaging with internal and external users to help them succeed with the product
