Product Engineer, Global Manufacturing Engineering

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in manufacturing or product development.

Nice to haves:

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
• Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, managing product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.
• Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
• Experience as a technical lead for a Data Center electrical hardware engineering project.
• Experience in managing Bill of Materials (BOM), Product data management tools like Agile, product-specific test plans, and evaluating test coverage.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and deploy platforms for Google data center hardware (server, storage, switch, rack, or accelerator) at global manufacturing partners.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and data center field escapes.
• Drive issues to closure with corrective and preventive measures. Collaborate with internal engineers and manufacturing partner engineers to drive improvement for product manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness, including test coverage, and reduce cost.
• Work on the customer site at least 3-4 days per week (one hour east of Prague).
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) early engagement to drive deliverables from NPI (Bill of Materials readiness and multi-sourcing, First Pass Yield, Manufacturing Capabilities, etc.) to meet mass production requirements before taking up sustaining ownership.
