Data Center Facilities Technician, Mechanical

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs of equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.

Nice to haves:

• 5 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environment or related fields.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
• Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on data center systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems.
• Provide daily assistance to technicians, read blueprints, and conduct system tours.
• Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps, HVAC systems, and control and monitor systems.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems.
