Mechanical Technician II (Technicien de maintenance)

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 lbs of equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.

Nice to haves:

• 5 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environment.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting using standard hand tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., chillers, air handling units, pumps).
• Ability to communicate with contractors performing maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
• Provide daily assistance to technicians, read blueprints/schematics/sequence of operations, and conduct tours of systems.
• Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, and control and monitor systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
