Software Engineer III, Full Stack, Commerce Safety

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
• Experience with software architecture, API design, and distributed systems.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI, large language models (LLMs).
• Experience working with server platform, Apps Framework, and Spanner.
• Interest or experience in Trust and Safety, fraud prevention, or identity verification.
• Familiarity with frontend development using server platform Web or similar TypeScript-based frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis to drive engineering and product decisions.

• Design and build robust backend services and evolve verification platform.
• Design, build, deploy, and iterate on machine learning models to detect spam and abuse in Shopping.
• Collaborate with various teams to deliver impactful results.
• Analyze data to guide future improvements.
• Maintain and improve the reliability of the production system.
