Data Center Technician II

Requirements:

• Experience with assembly of mechanical or electrical systems or performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
• Experience with networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules as required.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with light coding or scripting.
• Experience with systems administration.
• Experience troubleshooting OS, network equipment, and software.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting hardware or network-related issues using Linux-based tools.
• Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome issues.
• Ability to manage performing and changing priorities.

What you'll be doing:

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across teams.
• Report issues, troubleshoot and diagnose somewhat complex issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain the security and integrity of data and track various forms of media for non-standard data security issues.
• Disassemble specific end-of-life equipment via part replacement or maintenance.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure independently.
