Software Engineer III, GenAI Safety

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (Python, C++, Go or Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• Experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with large-scale data processing pipelines and tools (e.g., Flume, SQL).
• Experience with anti-abuse systems, fraud detection, or security.
• Experience with AI driven development and Agentic workflows.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build, and maintain components of account-centric abuse detection systems on the GenAI Safety Platform.
• Develop and implement classifiers to identify policy-violation and abusive behavior in near real-time, leveraging account-level signals.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate detection systems with enforcement mechanisms like strikes and limited disabilities.
• Analyze data to understand abuse patterns and improve the effectiveness of detection methods.
• Write and test production-quality code, and participate in code reviews.
