Data Center Technician II (Technicien Systèmes et Réseaux)

Requirements:

• Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
• Experience with the assembly of mechanical or electrical systems, or performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience with networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move up to 23kg of equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules.

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
• Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment or similar roles.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitor, maintain, and deploy the physical infrastructure behind Google's search technology and data center servers.
• Contribute to efforts in the deployment, maintenance, and support of data center servers and network infrastructure.
• Install and maintain switches, routers, and other networking gear. Diagnose and repair broken equipment.
• Support server conditions to ensure optimal functionality and connectivity, and oversee maintenance of critical systems.
• Participate in primary/secondary on-call for the sites and be available to work on 24/7 shifts if needed.
