Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, Global Manufacturing Operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in mechanical sustaining engineering.
• Experience in working with suppliers via product life cycle (PLC) engagement models (e.g., agreement manufacturer, joint design manufacturing model (JDM), and original device manufacturer (ODM)).
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, injection molding.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for mechanical tolerance analysis.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
• Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.
• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues and drive process improvements.
• Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review and influence designs using design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA) fundamentals.
• Lead product qualifications from mechanical parts to rack integration.
• Audit suppliers and influence sourcing strategy.
• Analyze product system assembly needs and identify solutions to problems.
• Lead manufacturing process design, optimization, and qualification.
