Water Treatment Technician, Data Centers

Requirements

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience as a Chemical Engineer in Water Treatment Plant (WTP), chemical analysis, mechanical/cooling distribution systems, or construction/technical environments
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts

Nice to Haves

• 2 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environments, or a related field
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants
• Proficiency in managing data and updating digital chemical logs
• Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment
• Ability to communicate in English or German fluently

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide analysis of chemical testing data and perform changes to keep the plant safe and protected
• Monitor all cooling systems including make up water, cooling water, and closed cooling water
• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions
• Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, and control/monitoring systems
