Senior Software Engineer, Cloud AI for Science

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Nice to Haves

• Experience building LLM-based products.
• Experience working on open-ended quality problems.
• Proficiency with agentic coding workflows.
• Knowledge of the Google stack.

What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute to launching science agents such as Co-Scientist, AlphaEvolve, and other upcoming products for the scientific research community.
• Build scalable and flexible infrastructure to deliver user experiences across our suite of products.
• Iterate on the quality of agents and tools so that they fulfill customers needs.
• Work with the various research teams involved to drive future development and ensure a healthy feedback loop.
• Develop self-serve tools so that research teams can bring their own agents and UI components.
