Data Center Technician II, Third Party Data Centers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems, and computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules.

Nice to haves

• Experience with server hardware, maintenance/repair, and troubleshooting/diagnosing.
• Knowledge of networking, including basic topology and protocol understanding.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently for client relationship management.
• Excellent Linux skills, including installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure.
• Report issues and troubleshoot and diagnose straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain data security integrity and track for data security issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure.
