Software Engineer III, AI/ML, Chrome Autofill

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• Experience programming in Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience testing, maintaining, or launching distributed software and developing in a cloud environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies in Chrome.
• Ability to be aware of the problems and to keep user journey's in mind.
• Familiarity with Agentic workflows and using Large Language Models (LLMs) to actuate the web.

What You'll be Doing:

• Develop and launch models and infrastructure focused on enabling AI experiences in Chrome.
• Participate in design and code reviews for teammates and other Google/Chrome teams.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to turn requirements into technical solutions, deploy experiments, define datasets, perform evaluations, and analyze results.
• Work independently on assigned tasks and turn high-level objectives into concrete engineering plans.
• Implement models within a system that agentically drives web sites with high quality.
