Senior Backend Engineer - Observability Ingest - Kubernetes Operator/Helm Chart | Spain | Remote

Requirements:

• You believe that great tooling is a force multiplier and take pride in boosting user experience
• Strong communicator, clear in code review, comfortable working async across time zones
• Experience building or maintaining tooling for external users, understanding API/UX design
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code tools like ArgoCD, Terraform
• 4 years of professional software engineering experience
• Comfortable writing and maintaining automated tests at multiple levels

Nice to Haves:

• Direct experience with Grafana Alloy or OpenTelemetry Collector
• Experience with Helm charts and GitOps tooling
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience contributing to developer-facing CLIs or configuration tooling
• Familiarity with the broader Grafana ecosystem
• History of open source contributions

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing deployment tools
• Own and evolve Helm chart ecosystem
• Build and maintain cross-platform tooling
• Collaborate with support, product, and field engineering
• Contribute upstream to open source projects
• Represent Grafana Labs in meetups, conferences, and forums
