Principal Engineer, Fin AI Agent

Requirements:

• The core requirement: engineering depth and product thinking. We need someone who combines deep engineering ability with strong product and design instincts — not one or the other.
• Operated at real scale and has builder energy. You've likely spent time at companies operating at significant scale.
• AI fluency. Actively experimenting with AI-assisted development.
• Deep technical depth with breadth. Can go deep into the weeds on at least one technical domain.
• Communication as a superpower. Ability to explain technical investments and align teams.
• Extreme autonomy. Form convictions and act on them independently.
• Critical thinking about the business. Translate business goals into technical decisions.
• At least ~10+ years of experience. Leading complex projects across multiple teams.
• Stack agnostic. Ability to learn, build, and operate effectively with various tools.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Partner at the strategic pillar level. Broad context across work streams to inform technical strategy and investment priorities.
• Spin up 0-to-1 work streams. Build momentum under aggressive timelines and set high expectations.
• Execute on the most ambiguous, highest-stakes problems. Hands-on approach to solving complex issues.
• Lead experimental work at the AI frontier. Run A/B tests, do prompt engineering, and calibrate features.
• Shape long-term technical strategy through execution. Inform architecture and drive product evolution.
• Work across the full stack in an AI-first development environment. Push boundaries with AI-assisted development.
• Raise the bar for the people around you. Give actionable feedback to accelerate growth.
