Senior Software Engineer, Internationalisation Platform

Requirements

• A strong interest in internationalisation, localisation, and translation.
• A desire to serve international customers and expand Klaviyo’s capabilities.
• 5+ years of experience delivering high-quality, customer-facing software.
• Deep understanding of complex systems and strong systems thinking.
• Familiarity with full stack development concepts.
• Experience working with monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Experience with high query volume database design and performance optimization.
• Interest in collaboration across teams and disciplines.
• Understanding of challenges in developing software across multiple languages.
• Track record of prioritizing company needs above team needs.

Nice to Have

• Proven experience with large-scale system design.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers.
• Experience with billing systems in multiple currencies.

• Lead and drive design and execution of complex internationalisation projects.
• Implement new functionality and design patterns for multi-component systems.
• Take full lifecycle ownership of features and projects.
