Customer Lead Engineer (Microsoft Security)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field OR equivalent experience.
• Career experience in a customer-facing, deep technical security-oriented role with crisis management, Incident Response, or escalation handling.
• Experience with at least one Microsoft Security product and enterprise security operations.
• Fluency in English for written and spoken communication with executive stakeholders.
• Participation in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

Nice to Haves

• Advanced Degree (e.g. Master’s, PhD).
• Strong communication skills translating technical issues into business impacts.
• Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, incident response, threat hunting.
• Certifications in Microsoft and/or competing Cloud Technologies in Security.
• Industry Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC.
• Mentoring and developing technical skills in others.
• Alignment with US-East Coast or US-Central Time Zones.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing strategic technical leadership for assigned strategic customers.
• Engaging and responding to technical escalations.
• Leading response to critical incidents and driving mitigation efforts.
• Owning and managing technical escalations for swift resolution.
• Advocating for customers within Microsoft Security Engineering.
• Collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Identifying systemic issues and contributing to long-term improvements.
