Senior Critical Environment Technician

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND extensive experience with mission critical services work/applied learning
• Relevant experience in a specialized area (e.g., mechanical field, electrical field, controls field) or related field
• Possess a valid driver's license for the Country of the job posting for occasional travel to other Microsoft sites
• Proficient in both written and spoken Finnish and English
• Willingness to undertake 'on-call duty' for out-of-hours assistance with major incidents
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to Haves

• Associate's Degree or technical trade certification and significant proficiency in mission-critical services

Responsibilities

• This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong technical judgment and the ability to operate independently in high-risk environments
• Serve as an operations specialist in one major area of CE operations and work on advanced tasks independently
• Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment regularly for unsafe or abnormal conditions
• Utilize internal computerized maintenance management system for tracking equipment assets
• Respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for abnormal conditions impacting operations
• Enhance and develop emergency operating procedures in relation to CE operations and incidents
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenances or repairs
• Perform various types of maintenance and repairs for CE equipment
• Have a hands-on understanding of equipment and troubleshoot independently
• Consult lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems
• Follow safety and security requirements to perform work in a safe and reliable manner
