Software Engineer II - Applied Sciences Group

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
• Experience developing software in languages like C++, C#, Python
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and learn new technologies

Nice to Haves

• Experience in AI, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, simulation, spatial computing, embedded systems, or distributed systems
• Experience integrating software with machine-learning models, sensors, devices, or other systems
• Experience transitioning experimental software to reliable implementation
• Familiarity with modern development practices and tools
• Experience in research, academic, or multidisciplinary engineering environments

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software for intelligent systems and experiences
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and students to translate research into implementations
• Develop and integrate components in areas like multimodal AI, computer vision, robotics, and more
• Evaluate system behavior, investigate technical issues, and improve performance
• Apply modern engineering practices and contribute in a multidisciplinary environment

Perks and Benefits

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role in Switzerland is CHF 119,200.00 - CHF 195,500.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
