Staff Backend Engineer

Requirements

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product
• Interest in building a product used daily
• Product mindset and data-informed decision making
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments
• Interest in distributed systems and resilient software
• Experience with strongly-typed languages (e.g., Go, Java, C, Scala)

• Collaborating across disciplines to test hypotheses and make customer impact
• Working in a squad with various team members to support a part of Monzo
• Engaging in a standard interview process across collectives to match skills and preferences
