Head of Data Science - Generative AI

About the opportunity

• We are seeking an inspirational and strategic Head of Data Science to lead our Generative AI team.
• This is a critical leadership role with the opportunity to define and drive the strategy for developing production-ready generative AI applications.
• Your team will work on cutting-edge generative AI workflows and systems for automation and innovative product features.

In this role, you will:

• Architect and drive the end-to-end AI transformation across N26.
• Define, communicate, and execute the overall Data Science roadmap and vision for the Generative AI function.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of experienced AI experts.
• Provide strategic and architectural guidance on delivering robust and compliant generative AI solutions.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Backend Engineering, Compliance, and Executive Leadership.

What you need to be successful:

• An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics/Statistics is preferred.
• Significant professional experience in the development and scaling of ML/AI solutions.
• Proven leadership experience managing Data Science or AI/ML teams.
