Site Reliability Engineer

About the opportunity

• We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Continuous Deployment Team within our Platform Engineering Segment.
• Platform Engineering's mission is to provide easy-to-use, self-service platforms that enable other segments to build, deploy, and monitor their business applications with minimal friction.
• We use a modern technology stack to deliver high standards of security, resilience, and productivity for our development teams, the company, and customers.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain, implement, and optimise systems and applications powering CI/CD at N26
• Shape and influence N26's CD strategy, empowering development teams for faster feature delivery
• Improve security and compliance posture of systems
• Implement security and compliance checks as a service in our CD pipeline offering
• Mentor engineers and enhance engineering practices
• Take part in roadmap definition and prioritisation for our group
• Stay on top of incidents and production deployment issues for stable and predictable delivery

What you need to be successful:

Must have:

• Experience with at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or Kotlin
• Good understanding of Linux, especially networking, containerisation, and security
• Experience with cloud service providers, ideally AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience planning, building, and supporting scalable CI/CD pipelines using trunk-based development or GitHub Flow and Actions

Nice to have:

• Experience working in strict security- and compliance-oriented environments
• Experience with integrated CD platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt)
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes administration
