Site Reliability Engineer 5

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/Node.js)
• Experience with complex sociotechnical systems at scale
• Experience with incident management and response
• Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, microservices architecture, and enterprise software solutions
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and continuous improvement mindset
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions
• Familiarity with Human Factors Engineering
• Ability to grow expertise, influence, and educate others

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on observability, reliability, and security
• Develop and implement automation tools for monitoring and incident response
• Conduct capacity planning and system tuning for reliability optimization
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Implement and improve monitoring and alerting systems
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for system observability and reliability
• Identify sources of instability in distributed systems and analyze resilience
• Design and maintain scalable infrastructure to support services
• Engage with product teams for operational improvements
• Maintain incident response framework and conduct blame-aware incident reviews
• Promote growth mindset, continuous learning, proactive innovation, and skill development

• 3+ years of Site Reliability Engineer experience
• Strong scripting and programming skills in various languages
• Experience with various tools and platforms
