Software Engineer 5 - Python Platform

Requirements

• Extensive experience with authoring Python libraries for various environments
• Deep understanding of software engineering challenges like observability and security
• Expertise in Python internals and web frameworks like FastAPI and Flask
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with other Platform teams
• Ability to balance modern best practices with a risk-aware approach

Nice to Have

• Experience with Machine Learning tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Knowledge of Data Engineering tools like Jupyter Notebooks and Spark
• Working knowledge of Conda

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing internal Python libraries to address common challenges
• Improving Python development experience with best practices and technologies
• Collaborating with partner teams to provide a software development lifecycle for Python engineers
• Applying code refactoring changes to git repositories for migration and upgrade needs
• Participating in the team’s support and on-call rotations
