Senior Platform Engineer - Infra & Cloud Delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a SRE, platform, or cloud engineering background.
• Experience with cloud & infra concepts - E.G. AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog
• Experience with SaaS software development in distributed systems using programming languages such as Typescript, Java/Kotlin, Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions/GitOps tools)
• You have a high quality bar regarding operational best practices.

Nice to Have

• Software engineering skills which help you understand the running application just as much as the platform on which it operates.
• Experience operating at scale in a high pace, rapid growth environment.
• You have experience with or passion to embrace new ways of working through the adoption of AI powered workflows using agents, skills & agentic feedback loops.
• Your platform experience doesn’t end with core infrastructure, but you are equally interested in adjacent concepts related to observability, database operations & networking.
• You have experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS).

What You’ll Do

• Manage the company's AWS account structure, organization & permission boundaries. Maintaining foundational infrastructure while also actively monitoring cost & utilization.
• Manage central infrastructure as code solutions that enable product teams to safely provision the infra resources they need while enforcing standardization without causing bottlenecks.
• Support the SDLC at Personio by maintaining and operating GitOps based continuous delivery pipelines that support all workloads across all environments.
• Operate and maintain EKS clusters across all environments and runtime integrations for all workloads.
• Document platform capabilities and run internal training sessions where necessary.
