Staff Frontend Platform Engineer

Requirements

• Building and maintaining complex web applications at scale
• TypeScript and modern frontend engineering (React experience is a plus)
• Designing maintainable systems (including frontend-facing APIs and platform boundaries)
• Testing practices and tooling (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a strong quality mindset
• CI/CD and developer productivity improvements (faster, more reliable feedback loops)
• Observability and monitoring practices for web systems (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting)
• Working effectively across teams and stakeholders, and communicating tradeoffs clearly

Nice to Haves

• React experience
• Previous experience in mentorship or coaching

What you'll be doing

• Set technical direction for parts of our web platform and drive alignment across teams
• Identify leverage opportunities for web engineering at Pleo and execute on them
• Partner with product engineers to design solutions fitting the wider ecosystem
• Build and evolve internal tooling, frameworks, and golden paths that scale across teams
• Improve CI and local developer workflows
• Coach and mentor engineers, grow technical leadership in the frontend community
• Contribute hands-on in code, blend strategy and execution
